Dr. Denise Nunez, CEO/Founder

Dr. Nunez is the CEO/Founder of the Niño de la Caridad Foundation. Dr. Nunez is board certified in general pediatrics as well as a Pediatric Critical Care Physician. She received her medical degree at Pedro Henriquez Ureña University in Dominican Republic and completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein School of Medicine – Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York. Dr. Nunez completed her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she serves as an Assistant professor of Pediatrics and trains residents and fellows in pediatrics


Dr. Nunez is driven by her passion to provide medical care and relief in areas where health care is limited or difficult. Through missionary trips from the Dominican Republic to El Salvador, she has touched the lives of patients and their families in those countries. In the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Dr. Nunez instituted patient and family-centered care rounds in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit, ensuring that patients and families are the focus care and are treated with dignity, respect, and with consideration of their cultural values.

Freddy Nunez, Treasurer

Freddy Nunez is the treasurer of the Niño de la Caridad Foundation and has experience as the current Clinic Director of Divino Niño Pediatrics. His desire to work with the difficult challenges that children and their parents face while providing them with the most qualified service makes him an exceptional addition to our board.

Ana Nunez, Executive Director

Ana Nunez is the Executive Director of the Niño de la Caridad Foundation. Ana is a graduate from Ramapo College of New Jersey, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is currently active in Suicidality research at Teachers College, Columbia University and is also specialized in ABA therapy service for our much needed autistic community.


Ana Nunez is also a former swimmer and her passions are traveling around the world and dogs.
