How Can Immigrants Get Access to Low-Cost Health Care?

According to NYC.gov, children under the age of 19 years old in low-income families can get access to free health insurance, regardless of their immigration status. You can enroll for this by going to https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/ and registering online or by calling 1-855-355-5777.  If you choose to register online, you need to create an account, provide information about you and your family, and then simply choose a health insurance plan.

To create an account, you will need an email address and provide some basic information about yourself. You will have to include information about each member of your family, your demographics, any health insurance that you have or have had, and your income. The last step is choosing a health care plan. The website will show you different plans with different benefits including what doctors participate in the plan network.
