The Guitar program offers young children the opportunity to learn how to read music, sight-read notes from the board and learn how to play them on guitar. Our guitar classes aim to give students a fundamental understanding of what it means to play guitar. Tis means students will understand what it means to play guitar on the range from beginner songs and patterns to advanced exercises and techniques. We also encourage students read, write, and play music along with being able to improvise leads and melodies. The overall goal with this program is to not only introduce these things but to allow the students to apply what they have learned to all types of music they come across. We take students from ages 7 to 18 years or older. This program runs Saturdays from 12pm to 5:00pm alongside with the participant’s session, participants will have an hour’s worth on instruction. Guitar is held under a supervised and structured environment in order to promote a safe after-school and/or extracurricular activity that encourages a fun perspective of learning.
