The mission of the Office of Adult and Continuing Education (OACE) is to empower adults in their roles as parents, family members, workers and community members. The OACE promotes the lifelong learning and the development of the problem solving skills though a continuum of services including: Basic Education, English for speakers of other languages, High School Equivalency (HSE) and Career and Technical Education. The “ESL instruction teaches students basic language skills, as well as the academic and civic skills they need to successfully complete higher education or job training programs. The emphasis is on improving English skills in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
